ABOUT US

Fern Montessori School is a work in progress! We are excited to plan our school around the Montessori philosophy and outdoor instruction. Our school values the inner spirit and drive within a child to love to learn. Our approach to education involves manipulative materials, movement, gardening, and more. Our plan is to have a working indoor and outdoor classroom so we can connect all academics to the natural world. We will grow a working farm so that children connect responsibility to work. Our core curriculum will encompass all Montessori key lessons and stories, bringing the child closer to understanding the universe and why everything works the way it does.

We will embrace the child's natural curiosity and sense of wonder about life. Each age group brings different questions about life and it is the adults' jobs to aid the child in finding the answers to these great questions in the manner that fits the stage of development for those groups.
